FBI Agent Diary

Currently being auctioned on eBay: 1931-59 FBI Agent Diary Collection of Meet Max H. Roder (1892-1988). A special agent who covered narcotics his entire 34 year career.

The collection consists of 28 diaries, kept on a day to day basis so he could recall things if he had to go to court. Current bid: US $394.00.

    Interesting. I thought the FBN covered narcotics crimes back then and not the FBI. Hoover didn't want the FBI to get involved with drug law enforcement and I thought Anslinger handled all of that.

    I could be mistaken.

    Was drug law enforcement under the jurisdiction of the FBI back then?

    Has this person established any provenance?
