Old Pictures.

Old Pictures is a huge archive of photography dating back to the mid 19th century. The menu is a little hard to find, located between ads on the left side. This picture is called Suspected Lincoln Conspirator, from the collection entitled Abraham Lincoln Assassination. I could spend hours browsing these photos. Link -via Fark

What a spectacular site! I have already sent it on to friends and labeled it as “the gift that keeps on giving”. There so much to go through here. So far, I like the early color photos of folks in the landscapes and the everyday captures of people. Lets hope 2012 doesn’t wipe out all of human history.

I love these kind of pictures. Old timey pics are so rich in detail and antiquity.
