The average age of The Zimmers is 78. Lead singer Alf Carretta is 90 years old! Other band members are 99 and 100 years old.     There’s a group local to me that is very similar… they’ve toured the world and been the subject of a BBC channel 4 documentary. The Young @ Heart Chorus. They do covers of pop tunes. Hearing them do “I Still Haven’t Found What I am Looking For” or “I Wanna Be Sedated” gives new meaning to the songs. Check ‘em out on Youtube.
