Shorpy calls itself “the 100-year-old photo blog.” Not all the pictures are that old, but they are pretty old. And fascinating. This picture is the corner of 34th and Broadway in New York in 1914. Link -via Metafilter

    yea, cool link ! I remember my grandmother showing me pics of my grandfather as a child growing up in NW Penn. I really like the depth of field in some of the pictures

    I am amazed by the low age of kid/workers. I’m 35 and I don’t think me or my children will ever realize the quality of our modern life…
