An 85-year-old Chinese man fell out of his fifth floor window and would’ve plunged to his death had he not been saved by an errant nail:
The nail in the wall, between the fourth and fifth floors, snagged his clothing and held his weight until help arrived.
After 30 minutes hanging from the outside of the building in Zhengzhou city, Henan province, Zhao Jingzhi was rescued by firefighters.

I think he means that if it were America, the guy would be dead because the nail would have broken, his clothes would have ripped, and the building would have fallen on top of him. And because of terrorists.

In the United States, if he’s still alive after the nail had broken and his clothes had ripped, the lawyers would get ‘em. For breaking the nail, defacing the building and making a mess on the sidewalk, of course.

Actually, he’d probably sue the building owner for the pain and suffering caused by the gash the nail left in him, and causing him to endure the indignity of hanging on the side of the building…

I wish the picture were a little better.
For some reason this reminds me of the scene in “The Naked Gun” where Frank Dreben grabs onto a statue’s wang to prevent himself from falling off a ledge.
