After Boston police blew up a traffic counting machine on the heels of the ATHF fiasco, Massachusetts Flickr user rodbegbie labeled some other items to help the police avoid making mistakes. Link -via Cynical-C

Yet again, the Boston bomb scare is mentioned without any reference to the two fake pipe bombs found near the hospotal that started the whole thing. So far, everyone seems to think they just found ATHF signs and thought they were bombs.

Oh, well. At least rodbegbie and neatorama think bomb scares are funny.

So, what happens when someone comes in and crosses out all the nots and do nots, resulting in “Panic! This is a bomb! Be afraid, call the police. The terrorists win.”

Bravo! I think we should start a whole social movement around that ridiculous event: everything should be labeled NOT A BOMB and everyone should say I AM NOT A TERRORIST at the end of every sentence.

Hey neato, the fake pipe bombs were reported to police hours after the ATHF crackdown had begun. They only added to the hysteria.

They set us up the bomb.

With that bubble gum on top, it could be a Macgyver bomb.

Damn you Neatorama and your sick, twisted humour. How dare you laugh at the Boston police!

Reminds me of the “This phone is tapped” stickers.

It’s too bad the Turner Network caved-in and paid for the fiasco of Boston hysteria. They could’ve waited for jokes like these stickers to come out and show how ridiculous it all was.

Turner got more than $2 million worth of exposure – that’s probably the cheapest promotion for ATHF they could’ve gotten.

What happens if someone puts a sticker like this on a real bomb?

Or puts their explosive lip gel in a clear plastic baggie?

Unfortunately, the viewership of ATHF remained more or less constant.
