Take a breather … here’s a cute lion club chaser for w.y.’s Lion-Faced Man post
That’s Koza, who was a 10-week-old lion cub at the San Diego Wild Animal Park when this pic was taken. The lion cub was actually a twin, but the other one died and because lions are social animals and there was no other lion cubs at the park for Koza to play with, they introduced an Italian mastiff puppy to be its lunch, er playmate.

His eyes and expression are amazing. Almost like someone photochopped a picture to look more like Simba from Disney’s The Lion King. I know animals don’t really have the same “expressions” as humans, and my brain is “reading” him as a human face, but still… sooooooo cute!

Strange or unpleasant things that people voluntarily do to themselves or each other can often need a cute animal picture as a chaser.
But that guy can’t help how he looks. He needs compassion and human dignity, not “Ewww, gross, here’s something cute to look at to wipe the memory of that hideous sight.”
