I was reading something on another website and it said the baby died at age 40 of a bone marow disease and the mother is still alive and has had another child (at the apropriate age).

What a total load of shit! For one thing this young girl would have needed to have been of ovulating age. She would have needed of have gone thru puberty – the phaise we go thru between the ages of roughly 11-17 (may vary) in order to become parents. Unless she was ovulating at the age of 5 (highly unlikely) then what a heap of crap!

the people who are saying this is a hoax are wrong – please no one say that again. this is true – i know a lot about this case, she is the youngest mother in history. there is documented proof and it is regarded worldwide as being true. there have been other cases of children being able to have babies, like a 6 year old russian. she did indeed start having her period at 8 months and had fully developed breasts at the time she gave birth to her son. her son died at age 40 due to bone marrow complications, and she had another son about 30 years later and she now lives with her husband.

If this is true?? the weird doctor standing next to the girl should have done his job properly and found out who the father was!!! I know of other cases the doctors in the 1930′s would call the police if a minor was pregnant.

What are they gunna do? Go out and dna test everyone in town. If she doesn’t tell them who did it they can’t really do anything, and the father was temporarily jailed as a suspect but the later released. They did what they could.

This story is true, I’m from Peru so I’m well aware of this story. She’s from a very poor area of Peru, thus why they had to take her to Pisco and then eventually to Lima where she could get the appropriate treatment. Unfortunately it is not very unusual for incest rape cases to occur in the really poor areas of Peru. The last time she refused an interview was in 2002, I believe someone in her family abused her and out of fear and shame she has not revealed the name of the father until this day. Her first son died at age 40 and I believe she had her second child when she was 18.

She actually had her second child when she was in her 30′s, she developed quite fast, she already had breasts and had her period by the age of 4, her monther would tell her to go wash herself in the river whenever she got her period. she didn’t gave birth “naturally” (vaginal birth), she got the baby through cesarea, and she had precocious puberty, menstruating before she got 1 year, and she got fully developed reproductive function so there was possible for her to get pregnant, now how she got pregnant is the mistery, most likely a rape, child at the age of 5 are not concious bout what they doing. sad but true.

Gerardo died at the age of 40 in 1979 from bone marrow disease. There is no evidence of the disease having anything to do with the fact that his mother had been so young when she had him.
