Hic Cup: The Anti Hiccup Cup.

Posted by Alex in Gadget, Medicine on August 3, 2006 at 4:11 pm

From the website:

The reason the Hic-Cup works is that it reliably interrupts the Hiccup Reflexive Arc by naturally influencing the superficially coursing Vagus and Phrenetic nerves. These nerves are known to be involved in the root cause of hiccups. Through the use of natural galvanic action, a mild ionic flow is created that initiates a sub-sensory bio-electric therapy. This means that the “hiccup” nerves are “re-set” by a natural electric current that you cannot feel, and that this reliably ends the distressing spasms.

Hm…. I just open my electric bill - and lo, my hiccup’s gone! But maybe you need this: Link - via Arbroath

It works best if you jam it up your arse.

we used to just put a knife in a cup of water and place it beside your temple while you drank.

Never knew why it worked, but now I guess I do.

I dont know if anyone knows but I’m from Tampa Florida and there is a girl here that has had the hiccups now for four weeks. She is averaging 50 hiccups per minute.I just thought maybe she could use this cup to help her.She has been on the Today show twice in the past 7 days. Her name is Jennifer Mee and is 15 years old. I have seen a lot of people recommending several ideas on how to get rid of them, except for this cup. Could this help her in anyway? Just thought I would pass this along just in case someone thought this would work for her. Thanks Greg W. Davis
