Update 6/30/06: Thanks to Neatorama readers Kiwi JD and Erueti, we now know that this is on top of the Embassy Theater (which Peter Jackson [wiki] helped restore) in Wellington, New Zealand - not Australia. Mea culpa, New Zealanders!

    The sculptures are in NEW ZEALAND not Australia. BIG Difference!

    Just thought I’d tune the location even further. It was ontop of Peter Jacksons Embassy Theatre, during the 1st LOTR in Wellington, New Zealand. Sorry for being a ‘Locale Nazi’ but Petes a Welly guy whos done so much for our CapCity and would be gutted to hear his beloved theatre (location for the World Premier of ‘Return of the King)and his Gollum mentioned with an Australian connection.
