Brandon Hardesty’s Re-Enactments.

By Alex in Everything Else, Video Clips on Jun 11, 2006 at 1:01 pm

Brandon Hardesty re-enacts scenes from popular movies such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Breakfast Club, Pulp Fiction, Star Trek: First Contact, The Shining, etc.

He used nothing but his own household items as props, and plays all the parts in the scene. And yes, that’s his voice.

Genius. Pure genius: Link

You can also hit play below to see one of his scenes, this one from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory:

From the website:

The First of my Re-enactment series.
This is me, re-enacting a scene from the 1971 movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I play the part of both Grandpa Joe and Willy Wonka in this pivotal scene where Grandpa Joe confronts Wonka in his office inquiring him on Charlie’s lifetime supply of chocolate. Wonka is less than pleased with Charlie’s breach of contract, however.

My resources were limited: I wanted to do a scene with two people, preferably men, and this came to mind. Nearing the end of Summer ’05, I was bored… so I did this.

Resources: My grandfather’s coat and hat; my dad’s tuxedo vest; lint from the dryer for the moustache scotch-taped to my face; a work desk with papers scattered around; a chair

If I were to meet this man, the first thing I would ask him is, “Are you God?”

I am struck mute in amazement at his ingenuity and talent. He ought to be in pictures, really.

    Thanks for that swell link.

when you’re 15 or however young this guy is, you should have a lot of time on your hands.

He needs to get outside and develop some other muscle aside from his ego. I wasn’t impressed incidentally.

Jael, you need to be as talented at anything as this kid is. You’re obviously not, or you wouldn’t be knocking him. ;)

Brian Hardesty is an absolute genius. The things he can do with his face and voice, his magnificent ability to effectively use gestures…not to leave out his technical skills with the camera itself, are peerless. When he takes on a serious acting role he is simply superb. Moreover, his comedic postings on Youtube had me in stitches…I haven’t laughed that much in years!

Correction: an you believe it? I got his name wrong? It’s not Brian Hardesty…it’s Brandon Hardesty!!! Frankly, I’d never heard of him until today…my loss!!! I’ve just spent two hours watching his creations and I’m awed by his brilliance. He’s a very major talent!

i truly am a brandon hardesty fan. however, for just some instructive criticizm, i just wish that he cut back on violence in his vids, but the type of violence in his “interrogation” video, is the academy award winning violence.
