Someone once asked a man at a lecture "why don't you like ayn rand?" He said "people don't need books encouraging them to be more selfish - they're already selfish". I feel the same way about stuff like this. The world is already brimming over with suffering and cynicism - we don't need people trying to "put a fun quirky spin on eulogies". I think people need to spend less time thinking about death and suffering, not more. I often wonder if there's a hidden agenda behind alot of these articles. I wonder if they're actively trying to demoralize a majority of a population within specific countries. I hate to get all conspiracy theory on everybody but....yeah... And wouldn't you know it's a article from The New York Times. I'll just stop there.
-chuckle- In the local vernacular I will always be From Away. I discovered the The Way Life Should Be back in the 80s and then got here as soon as I could.
Maybe because it's under a bridge? In many urban areas, bridges are where a lot of homeless congregate and there's a negative perception (rightly or wrongly) about the perception of safety in such places.
