The webcomic Order of the Stick did an amusing variant on this: when the heroes are confronted with (essentially) this duo, one of the heroes shoots the first twin in the foot with an arrow.
"Oh gods! She shot me! You crazy bitch, I can't believe you shot me!"
"She absolutely did not shoot you, and I completely expected it!"

The cartoonist Gahan Wilson once did a comic which shows various Chinese restaurant customers fleeing in despair, broken down and weeping, etc. The restaurant owner, speaking to an underling: "You've got to ease up on those fortunes!"

Some of the New Zealand extras playing Orcs in The Lord of the Rings started doing this sort of dance as a time-killer, and a version ended up appearing on-screen during the Battle of Helm's Deep.

"I don't get this. Is Blernsball the exact same as Baseball?"
"Baseball? God forbid!"
"Face it Fry: Baseball was as boring as Mom and apple pie. That's why they jazzed it up."
"Boring! Baseball wasn't.. Hm. So they finally jazzed it up?"

Twinkies will still be made. They'll just be churned out by a different corporate entity using lower-paid workers, while the corporate looters who ran Hostess into the ground walk away with their profits.

The irony is, real-life hippos are actually quite bad-tempered, territorial and dangerous; I've read that every year in Africa, they kill more people than any animal except mosquitoes. They really do overturn boats and attack the occupants. And if they just want to give you a warning, they don't roar at you, but.. cut loose from the other end.

As someone living in the Seattle area.. the (much beloved and much missed) comedy show was called Almost Live!, and, contrary to the impression the article might give, Nye was a regular cast member for years, doing lots of non-science skits. One of his classics is his superhero parody Speedwalker.
When the "Science Guy" thing took off and he got his own show, he brought along some AL folks, such as voice-man Pat Cashman.

I've always been torn about this. At a personal, moral, level I have zero problems with the idea. But.. you KNOW that if it's made legal, you're gonna end up with a whole bunch more creepy fringe-LDS types marrying groups of brainwashed sixteen year old girls. Sigh. I guess I'd still vote yes.

I'm a native USAian, but I gather a common one is not realizing how BIG the country really is. That you can get in a car, drive all day, and still be in the same state.

Impressively, Giles Corey's last words were reported to be "More weight!" He didn't enter a plea because if he died without doing so, he remained an official Christian, and the witch-hunters couldn't seize his family's property.
