You may think "short time," but that was 41 years ago! Things haven't really changed that much. Today, any judge would know what an arcade game is (more so than a young person), but try explaining to a judge in his/her 60s what an NFT is, and you'll see the same confusion.

The longuest I remember and modestly photographed is the 84 miles between Mount Aigoual and Mount Ventoux, France. You have to plan it on a beautiful day after a rainy one.

I agree...I don't think Die Hard is a Christmas movie at all...the movie has nothing to do with Christmas other than it being in the background as the time of year. The story doesn't revolve it being Christmas. Re the "GiF" thing...I think the creator was wrong. Why would it be Jif when the "G" stands for "graphics" not "jraphics"? I refuse to say Jif...I say Gif...Jif is peanut butter ;)

Trying to watch a movie on the premium channels is so annoying. Turn sound up for dialogue. Turn down for music or sound effects. Turn it up again, turn it down again. It's not fun. It's not "artistic". It's stupid. Stop it! I too have to rely on CC so I'm not changing the volume every 10 seconds.

Considering you recent comment on a Tattoo related article on this Neatorama, I can't help but notice a junk-food related pattern in your comments. (Cheetos, Doritos...)

That's ... one way to slant it.
Sure, we don't have access to the same materials. (We're not going to use asbestos now.) And we don't have people with the same skills.
But we also have better materials and alternative skills. 10 years ago, Pratt & Whitney Aerodyne designed the F-1B (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocketdyne_F-1#F-1B_booster ) based on the F-1 engine, but using a better design and more advanced construction techniques. The design estimate was an engine 15% more powerful than the most advanced Apollo-era engine, cheaper to build, and more reliable.
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovD0aLdRUs0 for the slant I prefer.
The reason why we don't send people to the moon is there's no good reason which justifies the cost, both in human lives and financial.

Not being in tattoos and thus not knowing anything, I've always wondered what would become of them with the inevitable weight gain, skin aging, or, like a distant cousin, the effects of pregnancy on that huge tattoo she has all along her ribs...
