I lived in England for a couple years and had the benefit of seeing a few other European countries in the meantime...what impressed me most was how walkable everything was. America is car oriented. While there are sidewalks here, you rarely seeing people use them. It's understandable as the roads in the States are made for cars, not pedestrians. In Europe I didn't drive, I walked everywhere without a second thought. Here in the States I feel like I have to take extra caution every time I cross an intersection.
Ethics aside, I've always heard that it's not healthy to eat apex predators. When you eat a cat, you're eating red meat that has lived off red meat, which has too many of certain chemicals to be healthy.
Duh, because they don't need the money? If they weren't already wealthy, they probably wouldn't have gotten into those elite schools. And I'm sure some of them married men who can make a decent living.

Makes perfect sense. It takes more fuel to lift something heavy against gravity than something light. This is how air travel should have been organized from the start.
