I showed this to my senior daughter, and she is gung-ho to get a portrait just like this made with her cat. She even called my brother and arranged it. Brother Bill couldn't stop laughing, but he agreed to do it. She says she will send it out with her graduation invitations.
Ah - hair. I remember when I had hair....(drifts back nearly 30 years...) I used to have hair almost down to my belt - and our son now does - he's 17. We were working on a shop the other day and he went out to the van to get something. Some random passer by said "You need to get a haircut." Luckily the nice woman over the road who runs the nail bar had previously told him what lovely hair he has - nice comments outnumber the miserable ones by about twenty to one. It's mostly women who seem to like his long hair.
All the Targets in the Washington, DC area have these and a few other stores as well - Whole foods, Ikea, probably others as well. Very common in urban areas I think.
That headline followed with a photo of an action figure in a wheelchair strikes me as being in poor taste. I read it as "Who the hell would ever want to emulate a character in a wheelchair?" I'm going to guess that there are a lot of people who use wheelchairs that were pretty stoked to see themselves represented.
Thankyouverymuch, John.
