When I taught high school biology, we had a real human skeleton in the lab for study. It was from India, a female if I recall. Pat of the anatomy lesson was to discern male from female skeletal structure. The process they used to clean the bones is a bit grisly, using dermestid beetles.

THE Star Wars (episode 4 as it turned out) was one of the very few movies I went to the theater to see twice. Saw the next one once, but never saw any others at the cinema. I just don't go to them anymore.

Reminds me of when my older son, a teen at the time, found my pocket Pickett slide rule. He asked me what it was and I proceeded to show him. He was amazed. I gave it to him and he used it to check the numbers on his physics home work, one of the functions it was really good for. Isn't it funny we still say we are "dialing" someone when we call them on our cell phones?

MrsO made turkey soup today. I tested it and it's pretty darned good. Look forward to some lunches with it. She will freeze some of it for a later time.

Remembering years ago when WallyMart was selling a nice TV for what seemed like peanuts. The store was opening at 6 AM, and I went on my way to work early around 6:30 to buy one. They were all sold out! Found out later they only had like 10 of them. That was the end of my Black Friday shopping.

Married 52 years to the same smoking hot lady, and she still complains I eat too much. She should have seen me in action when I was a growing teenager.

Funny one, but oh so true about changing technology. Wonder what today's kids think when they see people on a TV show with a big circular plastic disk with tiny grooves cut into them that can play music. Remember when my older son video taped his first daughter's birth. I asked him if he thought she'd be embarrassed when she saw it. He said, by the time she'd be embarrassed, there would be no way for her to view it. He was close. That was almost 20 years ago.

One of the stories I tell from my teaching days is when I had a student who needed to take a make up quiz. I told him to go down the hall to the (biology) LAB and take it there. A few minutes later another teacher who was on "potty patrol" poked his head into my classroom and asked me why there was a student in the LAV taking a quiz. We all laughed.

I don't know but we had a cat that got really upset (at least acting that way) whenever she saw our suitcases as we were packing for a trip. Likely she was just upset that we would not be there to give her food in the usual schedule. Any other cats we had never exhibited that behavior.
