Not bad. After three years my husband can only manage to say "y'all", "ten" and "g-damn" convincingly in my Southern accent. And she certainly did better than Michelle Ryan as the Bionic Woman. :P
Well yeah, ted that's why I made an allowance for really important warnings. The bridge being out is far different from those signs that tell you that the road may be wet when it rains. ;)
While I agree that changing a sign that is, at that moment, giving a valid, important warning, the majority of them come from the world of Captain Obvious. I would never attempt to hack one of these things myself, but driving by and seeing one with a funny message on it would put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
You had to know that the comments would end up being a global warming debate or armchair critiques. Sure, the post itself is about a pool whose entire point is to raise awareness of global warming. It's just not enough for some people to take it for what it is. It's suddenly crap because it's not changing the world, sending the wrong message and mocking because no one is intelligent enough to figure out that NYC underwater would be catastrophic,or unrealistic because no one wants to dump a few gallons of toxic waste in it.
It's a cool looking and interesting pool inspired by the concept of global warming and I am glad we got a chance to see it.
I seriously doubt that anyone would want their pool to be full of polluted water and crumbled "buildings", flip no matter what point they are out to make. Lighten up.
