The Indian comedy collective India Bakchod produced this black humor PSA to highlight the attitudes of many involved in rape cases.
Every sexual assault case in India inspires a string of stupid and hateful remarks against women. This is our response to those remarks.

Many people who suffer from Parkinson's Disease can't stop trembling, making eating difficult. This wonderful spoon invented by Anupam Pathak and his colleagues at Lift Labs offers a partial solution. Stabilizing technology inside it cancels out the trembling so that the spoon remains stable compared to the hand holding it. Clinical trials have shown that it cancels out up to 70% of shaking.
Households are constantly falling apart because the cat knocks things off the table. Admittedly, some of these cats were tempted for the camera, but it's still natural behavior. Cats just like to watch things fall. (via Daily Picks and Flicks)

Thirty five-year old secretary Ellie Cole of Eastleigh, England, became a minor Internet celebrity when this video clip, titled "Eastleigh's Got Talent," went viral.
Back in April, YouTuber Jane Rowland noticed a woman dancing across the street from her cafe, J's Corner Cafe, on Bishopstoke Road, Eastleigh. So she took out her camera, videotaped Cole tapping her toes and wagging her fingers. Her partner Nigel Baker, a former DJ, set it to the soundtrack of ABBA's Dancing Queen. Baker told the Daily Mail, "I chose a soundtrack of Dancing Queen by ABBA as it seemed so appropriate, though I had no idea what she was really humming."
Cole later admitted that she was listening to Alesha Dixon's hit "Knock Down" (Alesha later praised Cole's moves as "brilliant"). Cole said this about her dancing routine, "My mum thinks I'm bonkers. But I'm a normal 34-year-old woman who just loves to dance."
Rowland's video clip went viral (after it was mercilessly copied by other YouTubers - a sad but incredibly common state of affairs, but that's another story), and writers for AH Men and director Lynne Paris took notice. They've invited Cole to perform on stage for a one-time performance last weekend.
You are the dancing queen, girl!
Now that the weather finally is cooling down, it's time for a fun rainy day activity for the youngsters. While you'll do the fun part on a sunny day by applying NeverWet to your sidewalk with a stencil, the real pay off occurs when it rains and the area you painted stays dry.
Yeah, it's a fight of sorts, between two cats who can't be bothered to even stand up. And they are easily distracted, and have to take breaks for a quick wash. But they keep at each other for quite some time. I have two children who are just like this. -via Daily of the Day
This ad for a push-up bra is kind of clever, don't you think? It gets the point across. That said, it's an underwear ad from Thailand, so viewer discretion is advised. -via Daily of the Day
Samuel Nobile de Oliveira of Juína is paralyzed. He visits the local public health building in Brazil for medical care. But because it lacks a wheelchair ramp, doctors have to come outside to meet with him. Local government officials wouldn't build a ramp, so on Monday, Oliveira showed up with wood, stone, cement and the determination to build one himself.

The post Arctic Ice Flowers showed us one of the strange things weather conditions can do to water. Here's another: frost flowers.
A frost flower is created on autumn or early winter mornings when ice in extremely thin layers is pushed out from the stems of plants or occasionally wood. This extrusion creates wonderful patterns which curl and fold into gorgeous frozen petioles giving this phenomenon both its name and its appearance.

Anthony Sherin documented what happened when a piano was left out on the street in Manhattan.
Making this film was pure serendipity. After a January snowstorm in New York City, I decided to do some work on another film, in my home in Washington Heights. But as I approached my desk, I thought I heard a piano plinking. I looked out the window and saw a piano on the curb below. I was mesmerized by the pattern that emerged.
Sherin snapped pictures over the next 24 hours, which resulted in a complete story, set to music by Art Labriola. Read more about it at The New York Times. Link -via Viral Viral Videos

Like dreams and aspirations, tree houses were something I was obsessed with as a kid -always plotting and planning- only to neglect and diminish as I got older. Grown-ups can't live in tree houses, they have to pay mortgages and get jobs. Reminds me of a scene from Step Brothers (Warning NSFW Language); these people didn't lose their dinosaur- so to speak.
Philip Jodidio, one of the world’s most popular writers on the subject of architecture, has written a fantastic book set to be released mid-December titled Tree Houses: Fairy Tale Castles in the Air. Proof that enchanting treetop dwellings aren’t just the stuff of childhood fantasies, the stunning tome takes readers around the world to peek inside 50 of the most imaginative, awe-inspiring, at-one-with-nature digs for modern day dilettantes. From Sweden’s Treehotel inspired by the philosophic film The Tree Lover to Andreas Wenning’s treetop baumraums, click through to check out some of the incredible havens featured in this beautiful book.
