There were several songs recorded by the Beatles that didn't involve all the Beatles. "Julia" was all John Lennon. "Yesterday" and "Blackbird" was all Paul McCartney; just to name a few. Are they any less Beatles songs?

I don't even like his choice of cities, much less his movie selections. He includes Portland but doesn't include Baltimore (Diner, Hairspray)? And for Washington, he doesn't even mention A Few Good Men or No Way Out, both of which I'd re-watch way more than All the President's Men.

Nope. You're the one mischaracterizing it. When jumptheshark.com used to actually be jumptheshark.com (before being sold the TV Guide), Jon Heim specifically described the term as when actors leave a show, couples get together, babies are born, new characters are added, very special episodes (Fonzie jumping the shark as part of the 3 part Happy Days arc), etc... The site used to be a bulletin board broken out by shows for people to discuss and vote when shows "jumped the shark". I don't think #4 and #5 fit, but the others do.
