I avoid self checkout for a completely different reason. I like keeping people employed. It's not like Walmart or those other stores are hurting for profits.

The oldest verified continually occupied town in Alaska (& North America too) is Point Hope Alaska @ 10000+ yrs, not Kodiak at a skinny 290 yrs.
