What a sweet story, and such a happy ending!

I'm going to share the foveola photo with my students in my Anatomy of the Eye course (with proper credit and citation, of course)!

Now I know what I'm going to do during my retirement.

For some reason, all of us believed that earthworms were blood suckers. I was told that by the older children at school and confidently told that to the children who were younger than I, thereby perpetuating this bizarre and unquestioned story. I mean, we even believed that stepping on an earthworm _with our shoes on_ was dangerous-- somehow they could suck your blood through your shoe. After a big rainstorm when the earthworms would emerge was a truly dangerous time on the playground. ????!!!

I loved this. Made my brain happy. And now I want a whole lot of kittens (already have a couple of beloved cats).

I don't care about skateboarding per se but I do love physics. This would be fun to share with students!

Cat Cloud o' Fluff

In the new documentary about Fred Rogers, "Won't You Be My Neighbor" there's a lovely scene showing Mr. Rogers meeting Koko.

I just saw the documentary on Mr. Rogers, "Won't You Be My Neighbor" and highly recommend it. It's a wonderful film, first of all, and just to hear about a person who cared so much about others and was so kind and thoughtful reduced me to tears.
