Unfortunately tech companies (etc) regularly patent things not because they are possible or because they are working on them but for other reasons (eg: to profit if someone works it out, to block others from developing things, as wild "just in case we need it in 30 years", etc). Just registering a patent means almost nothing about the future chance of things happening. Because the patent system is broken.
Yeah, the pump is in the black can, he filled it carefully in step 2, so that the intake vent (which is placed high up) was covered and the pump could start the cycle.
What I like about the site is that as a whole it is intelligent. The articles that provide the background stories of historical events or scientific topics have been interesting and expand what I already know or what I think that I know about a topic. Most recently it was the article on the decline of the golden age of serial killers. But really it's everything on the site:. Art, design, geeky stuff. Sometimes I'll just stop by to visit the shop. It is a good mix and balance of everything cool.ReplyForward
I've been reading Neatorama for a very long time and love the variety of articles here. But I must say that the number and placement of ads that were added in the past few years are almost too much for me. I can't stop coming here every day, but I'm still struck by how hard it has become to enjoy the content with the ad bombardment, especially the video ad looming large on the page...
There is no "one" topic. Y'all are an electronic "Readers Digest" like Cracked, Bored Panda, Bright Side, BoingBoing, LifeHacker, Jalopnix, and the deceased Unique Daily. Because it doesn't matter and a lot of marijuana usage I can't say how long I've been coming here daily but it's been years. You are in good company though!
I check Neatorama every day and there’s always something neato to read! Neatorama is at its best when it’s covering stories and topics far out and away from mainstream media. Please do more stories about surprising and quirky histories behind stuff we usually take for granted. Thanks!
