A couple of months ago, student pilot Brian Parsley did his solo cross country flight, a required step in getting his license. About 12 miles short of his destination, his engine sputtered out. What to do? While he is obviously stressed, he did not panic and just did what had to be done. Parsley managed an emergency landing on a stretch of grass.
