Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Featurette from D23

Shown at D23, the annual convention for Disney fans, the first part of this video blows by pretty quickly, showing us familiar scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy and even glimpses of the prequels. Fast forward through The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and suddenly there's til-now-unseen footage from The Rise of Skywalker, leading up to a final snippet that raises so many questions. What is Rey wearing, and why? But what a cool lightsaber she's got! We won't know what it all means until The Rise of Skywalker premieres in December.

For once I am not looking forward to a Star Wars movie. "The Force Awakens" didn't do much for me; "The Last Jedi" was, IMHO, crap. I might not even watch "The Rise of Skywalker" when I can borrow a DVD from the library - which is how I watched Episodes VII & VIII.

Rey has not gone over to the Dark Side. Every successful Jedi has had to overcome that one little piece of The Force in order to rise to good and greatness. It's the Rise of Skywalker. Besides, if they did that, another great Jedi would have to be found, more epic battles; Rey given the chance to redeem herself. It would be like starting all over and take another ten years to finish. Oh. Wait.
