Arthropoda Iconicus: Insects Inspired by Looney Tunes

Last year we showed you the amazing insect species concocted by artist Richard Wilkinson, designed around Star Wars characters. Now he has a series of insects of the family Insanusmelodiae that recall our favorite cartoon characters. Behold these perfectly believable insects, then squint a little and see the Looney Tunes characters you grew up with.

Wilkinson also has a series of insects of the families Drohnmortae and Opesparacidae, under the order Crepisculahoministera. These insects will remind you of classic horror monsters.
