Painted Wolves: Africa's Colorful Carnivores

The painted wolf is neither dog nor wolf and belongs to its own branch in the Canidae family. This elusive species is not well known outside Africa.

The painted wolves' mottled coats have splashes of brown, black, white and yellow, and the color pattern is different for every individual, according to National Geographic. The long-legged mammals stand between 30 and 43 inches (76 and 109 centimeters) tall and weigh from 40 to 79 lbs. (18 to 36 kilograms) as adults. Another distinguishing feature is their large round ears that help them pick up the faintest rustlings in the bush.

Every individual painted wold has its own unique coat pattern! Aren't they adorable?

Always you list measurements in foots and inchies first, which means O, and the vast majority of people that read your bog (intentional) have to go 'WTF ?' and detour from the story to read what's in the bracketed section.
You may enjoy basing everything on the size of some dead monarch's foot, but over 95% of the world's population think, live, and measure in metric.
You people in the USA have long ago adopted the basic metric system into your money counting, albeit called decimal.
The 21st century is well on it's way but here you north Americans (excepting Canada) are bogged down a metre deep, in the murky past of the old Imperial system.
Imperial, you could look up the meaning of that word.
Lol, come on, at least put your leagues, furlongs and chains in brackets, unless it is your aim to only be read by peeps in the USA ?
