Long Before There Was Calvin and Hobbes, There Was....

Little Orvy is another of those long-extinct comic strips (it ended in 1962) that are largely forgotten today by all but comics connoisseurs and historians. Like me!

Here we have a small blonde-headed boy with a hyperactive imagination, whose wild daydreams become his own private reality, one that usually ends rather abruptly, and his friends and relatives can't help but notice that he daydreams an awful lot. Does any of this sound familiar? If not, throw in a stuffed toy tiger and try again.

Little Orvy is gone but not forgotten. On this site are found a collection of Little Orvy comic strips and some commentary concerning the strip and the cartoonist. Sad to say, missing is one continuity I remember concerning Little Orvy being caught in a typhoon. It was funny and scary at the same time.
