Watch A Ghost Car Appear Out Of Nowhere And Cause An Accident

Have you ever heard anyone claim "the car came out of nowhere!" after an auto accident?

It's a common claim that usually means the person wasn't paying attention or the person who hit them was hauling ass, but in this strange dashcam video the car that caused the accident really does seem to appear out of nowhere.

So what's the deal with this dashcam footage from Singapore? Your guess is as good as mine...

My theory is that the ghost car was always being hidden from view by the other one. Why the other car did not see the ghost car is a bit more puzzling, however there is quite a bit of glare into the camera, so I assume the other car also had obfuscating glare.

Speaking of Captain Disillusion, I am reminded of his video debunking the missing basketball video. Same principle, the object in front is obscuring the one in back, which was always there.

BTW, you can see the other car's roof appearing a split second before the crash, which indicates that the other car may have ran a red light, so it is not the foreground car's fault.
