Admit it, as soon as you saw the name of this list, you have a favorite in mind, right? I have to admit that I did, too, but mine was not on the list, which could have been much longer. It's probably because some movies are careful to call such a facility a "psychiatric hospital" instead, or maybe because it wasn't completely fictional. My Maternal Grandfather was the head psychiatrist at the then Newark State School in Newark NY. I visited him a few times in the summer and he took me to work with him. Needless to say it was a creepy experience for a young boy. I guess it would be creepy even for this old guy.
