People are constantly saying "they don't make them like they used to", a folksy statement that doesn't really apply to many things despite what the speaker had in mind.
But there is one thing they truly don't make like they used to- automobiles. The cars made in the early to mid-20th century were built to last a lifetime or more if properly cared for and driven safely.
Case in point- this 2011 video from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel featuring Grace Braeger showing off her cherry 1957 Chevrolet, which is the first and only car Grace has ever bought.

Not only built to last, but with a car like that, you can repair it yourself (if you can get parts). It would be good it she had it fitted with seat belts, though.
