Bird Dubstep

Joe Penna, who we've seen before as Mystery Guitar Man, created a new dubstep song completely made of bird sounds and drums. Oh yeah, and a little bit of Sir David Attenborough. Don't let the word "dubstep" turn you off; the song is less than a minute long.

Granted, it helps when you use birds that imitate other sounds, such as the lyrebird and parrots. But the result is still impressive. -via Laughing Squid

That was just too adorable!!! OMG I want a teeny tiny little tortoise!!
But I think our dogs and cat would munch on it, or the various birds of prey that frequent this area. SIGH.

im not sure how that's really evidence of a tortoise responding to voice. tortoises have very limited hearing. one of my tortoises likes to follow people(and other pets) around the yard but if he doesn't see you, he won't come in your direction. shining a flashlight down into his burrow would sure do the trick.

We have a yellow-eared slider, about four years old, who comes when we call him by name (when he's out of the aquarium walking around on the floor). However, he doesn't really understand gravity yet, so maybe it's a give-and-take.
