1920s London Underground Posters

Once upon a time, a long time ago, people had to be encouraged to use the subway. In the 1920s, a variety of posters urged Londoners to use the Underground. These gorgeous art deco designs reminded travelers that it’s cool down there in the summer and warm down there in the winter. You can go places! That’s all well and good, but the eye-popping art makes these posters things of beauty. See 26 posters at io9.
