He probably should have given up scientisting long ago, but his scientifical mindset refused to stop even when his brain malfunctioned and had to be replaced. Now he mostly creates bots that love to go on benders, one eyed mutant people who are both uptight and undateable, and little smarmy clones of himself so he never gets lonely in his lab. You could say Dr. Farnsworthstein is a crackpot, but then he'd inevitably crack a pot over your head!
