Lisa Pierce’s Wacky Animal Menorahs

Hanukkah is an annual Jewish celebration of the reconsecration of the Temple during the Maccabean Revolt. The traditional nine-branch menorah plays an important role in marking the occasion.

Lisa Pierce’s menorahs are anything but traditional. From her studio in Portland, Maine, she uses old toys to build gold and silver-colored menorahs that look like dinosaurs, elephants, and tortoises.
