Behind The Scenes Photos From Return Of The Jedi

Remember when Return of the Jedi was the last Star Wars movie in a tight trilogy, before we beheld the horror contained within those poorly written prequels?

Then you remember how amazing Return of the Jedi looked on the big screen, with eyes open and mind racing at the far out look of it all.

You remember how creatures like Jabba the Hutt, the Ewoks and the Max Rebo Band came to life thanks to high quality practical special effects makeup, stop motion animation and puppeteering.

Now you can take a peek behind the curtain and see all that went in to the making of Return of the Jedi in this a gallery of behind-the-scenes photos collected by Imgur user JoinYouInTheSun.

Take a gander and remember the glory days of the Star Wars franchise, before things went straight Jar-Jar.

"Remember when you were a little kid and you didn't notice the major plot-holes, the bad dialog, and the simple characterizations of Star Wars because you were distracted by shiny special effects of things that move fast, explode, and make loud noises on-screen? But then you grew up. And then those prequels came out. You didn't notice the prequels' bright, colorful, loud special effects because you were distracted by the major plot-holes, bad dialog, and simple characterizations."

No, the prequels are objectively, undeniably, infinitely worse than the originals. I didn't grow-up with Star Wars at all, but finally saw them more recently, so there's no nostalgia influencing my opinion.

Search Youtube for "plinkett star wars episode 1" for an in-depth, detailed expert analysis of just how incredibly awful the prequels are. Ep1 is right-up there with Waterworld as quite possibly the worst big-budget movie ever made by a major studio.
