Here in Japan, vending machines are everywhere, and when you spend the entire day out and about, you don't really have an option (especially in summer, I will finish off the bottle I brought from home before I even get to the station). I try to reuse my bottles as much as possible, but sometimes I wind up with too many and have a counterful of empty bottles.

I always laugh whenever I see folks buying bottled water. Phineas Taylor's famous quote that he never actually said remains true today.
