Zoo Displays Stuffed Animals

A couple of years ago, we told about the Marah Zoo in Gaza that passed off a painted donkey as a zebra. Another private zoo in Gaza is undergoing hard times, but making the best of it. At Khan Younis zoo, animals that die are not being replaced, but instead they are given a taxidermy treatment and put back on display!
The owner of the zoo, Mohammed Awaida, said they are doing this because there are not enough live animals left in Gaza following the war with Israel three years ago.

He believes the efforts will help children learn about the animals and taxidermy.

The upside is that children can pet the wild animals, and feeding costs are down. Link -via Arbroath
