Planes Taking Off From Hannover Airport by Ho-Yeol Ryu

Photo: Ho-Yeol Ryu

Look at all those people flying away to far away lands! Back in 2005, Korean photographer Ho-Yeol Ryu took photos of planes taking off at Hannover Airport in Germany and stitch 'em all together into one shot: Link

Edit 2/21/12: It's an art piece - Thank you, AnnaZed!

There's alot of "mistakes" in this pic... airlines that don't even go to Germany and if you look at the Luftansa Regional plane on the right, you'll see it "flying" with it's thrust reverses engaged...

Although it's a nice pic, a little more research was in order...

Alex! You of all people I am surprised that you picked this up without investigating it.

This is not a photo of planes taking off and the artist has never claimed that it was.

Here is a detail of the photo from his gallery show: http://exhibitions.connydietzscholdgallery.com/Conny_Dietzschold_Gallery_Exhibitions/Photos_Ryu,_Ho-Yeol_%28Korea%29_-_30_JULY_31_AUGUST_2011.html#20

This is a work of art created with model planes and photo-montage techniques, now it's a meme.
