Candy Nostalgia

I once referred to the candy bar as Peter Paul's Almond Joy and my kids thought I was crazy. But that's what the candy was called when I learned to love it! You'll see all kinds of sweets that were sold a half-century ago in the 1949 NWCA Candy Salesman Book. Link -via the Presurfer

They need to bring back the SevenUp, 7 separate candybars in one package.

I wonder how accurate the pictures are because it looks like they used to have more "filling" and less chocolate. Shorter and fatter too.

Well Miss Cellania, I've got one on my desk from Halloween and it says "Peter Paul" on it. You can even go to http://www.hersheys.com/almondjoy-mounds.aspx and see the Peter Paul on the top of the Mounds bar in a blue oval and on the Almond Joy in a red oval.

I guess I was a Mars bars fan: Mars, Forever Yours, and 3 Musketeers were my favorites. Still enjoy a 3 Musketeers once in a while these days.
