A 9 to 5 office worker calls in sick and thinks he will have the city to himself during business hours. He is surprised to find that he's in the minority. yes working people are the minority. I am always amazed when I take a day off of how may people are unemployed.

There are also those who work second or third shift, or part-time because that's all that's available. Then there are people like me who work flex time. I appear to have free time because I can go places during business hours, but I'm up at 4AM to get stuff done.
