Even if you aren't familiar with Sherwood Schwartz' alliterative name, you most assuredly know his body of work: he's responsible for the creation of The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. He was apparently working on a Gilligan movie when he passed away at the age of 94 today. He also worked on My Favorite Martian, Harper Valley PTA and The Red Skelton Hour. He cared about every person he came in contact with and never forgot them.
He was a loving family man and friend.
Sherwood's talent was amazing and what he did and created gave millions of people joy and memories.
He will be missed, but always loved.

Hardly. Although I've heard the names of the Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island, I have never seen either and know nothing about them. Perhaps US popular culture isn't nearly as pervasive as you think?
