Those ignorant of history delight in celebrating some of the most ambitious killers.
Aside from Thoreau, these are mass-murderers who are reviled by those with a modicum of education and compassion for their fellow humans.
Thoreau should be replaced with Hitler, to complete the set of mega-murder devils.
