MM's correct. The perfect focus, the removal of fleating objects while making the lights POP! is amazing and would have been even more effort with a video recorder. Technically, this IS a movie and therefore... moving pictures, no?

Ried, these photos are long exposures. He doesn't say how long they were, but I'd guess at least 5-10 seconds per shot. You can't shoot a "moving picture" that way.

Imagine how much time he would have saved and how much smoother things would look, if somebody had told him about the invention of moving pictures.
