Spanish face transplant patient known only as Rafael revealed his new face at a press conference. The 30-year old had a partial face transplant surgery to repair deformation due to benign tumors:

Remember, he was missing most of his face before this, couldn't speak, couldn't eat. This makes a vast improvement in his quality of life.

I admire his courage. Knowing the media was curious about the lurid details of his deformity -- and knowing how abnormal he appears still -- this man nevertheless appeared in public so that he might inspire more donations, and so help others.
