Runaway Lived in Bed Bath & Beyond

The big box store Bed Bath & Beyond has got everything you could possibly want for your home, so naturally it makes a pretty good home itself for someone:

Investigators said the boy ran away from home Sunday and walked into the store near Gratiot Avenue and 13 Mile Road just before closing. He went undetected for four nights as employees locked up the store for the night.

Police said the boy found a blanket from a shelf to stay warm and then took shelter under a riser. Police said the boy would eat peanuts and food he found on the store's shelf and go to the bathroom in a pop bottle. [...] Police said the boy would leave in the morning and then return again at night until he was discovered by a clerk, who then called police.

haha, I work at a BB&B and do not see why he couldn't use the restroom or a bed. The restrooms aren't locked at night as far as I'm aware, and beds and alarm clocks would be nice to use too! It'd be like when Natalie Portman lives in Walmart in that movie.

Most (many?) of those stores have bathrooms and also full beds set up to show off the bedding they sell. Also, many of them sell snacks. I guess he was in the ghetto version of a BB&B.

In re: the bottle. People. DUH. He left the store during the day. Obviously a person in his situation would poop in a Burger King restroom (or some such) but then would still need a soda bottle for the inevitable late-night urinating needs. DUH.

I love how there's like 4 people being quoted in the article on saying how smart and brave he is...Also, I have a bathroom in my local BB&B, but maybe he was avoiding the cameras...?
