The decade that spawned MTV saw a serious shift in music from the previous one. For its exciting, educational montage of tournament action in The Karate Kid, the movie features this song by Joe Esposito, "You're The Best Around." This isn't a music video; this was an actual scene in the movie, and it was pretty much the standard practice for musical interludes.
