Homemade Spider Catcher

I don't know how effective this homemade spider catcher is, but it should be easy to make from a cassette case, a pipe, a string, and some glue. Beats walking into a web, the way I've been doing lately! Link -via Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories

Just get the Bugzooka. We have 2 and swear by them. It uses a spring loaded bellows to instantly suck the insect into a capture tube through little trap doors. Works like a charm and never needs batteries. Even has an optional nearly opaque capture chamber so you don't have to look at the beast (and our giant house spiders are beastly).

Disclaimer: I have no financial stake in the Bugzooka. Just thrilled it exists and works so well.

I think the spider catcher thing with the bristles is the best one considering it's so cheap. Played with the demo model in my old job (it comes with a plastic spider to practise on!) and it's so easy to use :P

I'm assuming they are talking like huge spiders, not the thin spindly ones whose legs are kind of like as thin as the webs they spin. Otherwise it would seem like this catcher's really more effort than is necessary. The other problem is how to clean up the webs after you get rid of the spider.

I have a cat. Cat likes spiders. Cat catches spiders and goes *crunch crunch crunch* *gulp*
I've come to terms with it. *shudder* no... really *shudder, stares at cat*
