World's Most Expensive Jeans

Recession schmecession. Hipsters never let a little global financial tsunami interefere with fashion! Here's the "Spin Jean" by Daniel Hirst, in collaboration with Levi's.

Bold and brash, he teams up with Levi’s on the release of a new denim style. Hardly wearable, the jeans seen here should be considered much more a re-appropriated piece of art than fashion. A multi-colored splatter pattern covers every square inch of a pair of iconic Levi’s denim. The Spin Jeans comprise of only 8 instances worldwide with a suggested retail price of ¥2,625,000 JPY (approximately $27,000 USD).

...How much???
I've never ever spent more than €60,- on jeans...! In fact I've never ever spent so much on anyting (aside my house), not even my car...! Even if I had that kind of money, I would use it for other things...! I'm shocked!

If you think Damien Hirst's jean are expensive, check out his piece For the Love of God, it's jaw dropping. His piece The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living is really neat too, go dead animals!

It's so trendy in recent years to misuse the word 'comprise' that new ways are thought up daily. Keeping in mind that the exalted, purportedly divine institution of Webster's Dictionary includes misuse of English words as definitions when such misuse surpasses proper use in frequency, here's a helpful guideline:

VonSkippy- The word 'blonde' is spelled with an 'e,' This non-typo belies the unique non-based-in-reality status of the racial stereotype that persons possessed of genes that code for fair hair are unintelligent. Of course, the irony is that the statistically blondest nations have statistically the highest IQs. Sorry, it's true.

Ugh. It seems to have excised my helpful guideline because I placed it n brackets.

Here it is:

Things comprise that which they are composed of. Nothing is ever "comprised of" anything.

So shall we all get some pottery wheels, ladders, paint and jeans and make ourselves some art? I am certain that the effort that Hirst put into those is completely worth the price tag, I mean his farts are 1,000 dollars alone. Oddly I was just reading an article about how artists like Hirst are on the road to extinction because people are beginning to consider art as something that doesn't cost a person a wheelbarrow full of money to own. It also has to do with the disillusionment of people with art galleries, that art is a tangible thing that is only real if it can be hung inside the building.
