Wooden Vespa by Carlos Alberto

'Scuse me while I pick up my jaw from the floor. That is a fully functional wooden Vespa, named "Vespa Daniela," made by Portuguese carpenter Carlos Alberto. Gawk here: Link - via Blog on a Toothpick

As a scooter rider this thing is just freakin' awesome. Functional yes but useable.....well...the exhaust pipe might burn the poor thing to the ground. Although, I can't tell the placement in this picture. I know it varies from Vespa models. Now, to go find someone who'll do this to my Metropolitan.

You ride a Met! I drive a Ruckus myself.

I do find this beautiful but, I worry about it's safety and usability. I wouldn't leave it out in the sun or rain, defiantly wouldn't wanna crash it. As an Art object it's very well done.
